This year's Genting Trailblazer will be more than a challenging 14km run through one of the world's oldest rainforests; it is part of Genting Group's commitment to raising awareness on the importance of preserving the environment, specifically our precious rainforests. The Group will work hand-in-hand with the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) to ensure that the Genting Trailblazer has minimal impact on the environment while allowing the run to showcase the great diversity and splendour of the million-year-old rainforests surrounding Genting Highlands. As such, we will be implementing several green measures for this year's race. These include:

  1. Prohibiting the use of disposable plastic bottles. Please bring reusable bottles instead. Water dispensers will be available at the venue.

  2. Using sustainable methods for the preparation and implementation of the race including perusing eco-friendly products before, during and post-race.

  3. Conducting green forums and talk-shows during the event in collaboration with MNS.

  4. Dressing in green to drive home the message. Participants are invited to do the same as a show of support.

  5. Calling for volunteers to champion this cause and raise awareness of rainforest conservation.
